What is the Future of the GDA?

What does the future of the Guernsey Disability Alliance look like? What should we start, stop or continue? These are the opening questions in the new questionnaire that was launched at the GDA’s AGM on 13th February 2023.

The Guernsey Disability Alliance was set up to provide a collective voice into government and to bring about equality of opportunity for people affected by disability, for anyone with an impairment or a carer. We campaign for change in local legislation and work in line with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), which we want extended to Guernsey. We encourage culture change through raising awareness and challenging stereotypes.

We are a membership organisation and want to know your views of what we should do in the future. Do we need to do more of the same? Something different? Or stop? Are there issues relating to disability, that require a collective voice that we are not tackling?

We really value your input, so please complete the survey by clicking on the questionnaire button below. If you would like to expand on any aspect, please email carol@disabilityalliance.org.gg. All surveys must be submitted by midnight on the 28th February 2023 so that we can analyse the results and report back to you.

Thank you for your help!
