On Tuesday 29th September, the Chief Minister, Deputy Jonathan Le Tocq, made a statement to the Assembly regarding a delay to the anticipated Update Report on the Disability and Inclusion Strategy from September 2015 to November 2015.
In response, Shelaine Green, Chair of the Guernsey Disability Alliance, said:
“GDA members are looking forward to hearing our deputies debate the progress that has been made in the two years since the States voted unanimously to improve life for disabled islanders and carers.
“Obviously it’s disappointing that the update on the Disability and Inclusion Strategy will be two months later than planned but we have been kept informed and are reassured that there is a firm date in November”.
