The Parent Carer Council consists of a group of parents and carers elected by parents to represent families’ views on the services offered to people with a learning disability within the Bailiwick. It meets at least four times a year to discuss current issues and receive briefings on service developments from those responsible for delivering services. The present composition of the Council includes representation from both Adult and Childrens’ Services.
If you would like to get more involved please let Peter Fernandez know of your interest. Alternatively, if you are unsure you can just join in with the next meeting of the PCC just to get a taste of the discussion. This is a great opportunity to get involved in communicating the needs of service users and their families to the service providers.
Peter can be contacted on poshrobins@aol.com
